Snow Angel | moral story
There lived a woodcutter, in a ice region. He is a hard worker.
He would ride his skate through the snow and cut down the trees there and carry the load to a market forty miles away and sell it.
He has no one to support him. The only problem he had was hunger. Always he needed something to eat.
But there is no one to cook for him. He does not have enough money to buy the food he needs.
So he drove life with being. Occasionally if he was hungry he would pray to God lamenting why God is testing me like this.
One day while weeping like that, the merciful snow angel flew from the sky and appeared in front of him.
He asked “who are you.”
“I am the snow angel.”
He asked “how I could believe it?” and the Angel said, “Ask what you need, and I will give it to you right away.”
The wood cutter didn’t know what to ask the Angel.
The angel said “ask whatever you need for your life and I will give it to you.”
Immediately the man asked “I want a big chocolate cake.”
The angel smiled and asked “is that your wish.”
He said “yes I have been wanting to eat chocolate cake for a long time, give it to me, the big cake.”
Alas, thinking that he was so naive, the angel said, “ask for something bigger than ordinary desire.”
He immediately said, “This is enough to make me believe that you are an angel.”
Immediately the fairy raised her hand and asked him see that a hundred tasty cakes are coming now, instead of a chocolate cake he wished.
The next minute different flavored cakes appeared there, small and large.
The wood cutter could not believe it at all. “That’s all for me?” he asked. The Angel replied him to eat the cake as much as he needed.
He hurriedly took the cakes and ate them. Then he laughed and asked, “Why are you looking for me, angel? Do you need any help?”
As the angel smiled and said “l have come to help you though are a very good man.
I will give you a boon ask something else” said the angel. She said “you can improve your life by keeping it.”
He cut the wood and thought.
“I just do not understand what to ask.”
He wanted a hundred bottles of orange juice, thinking he could ask the same thing because he loved to drink orange juice.
As the angel smiled “Do you have any desires other than food? I wish you progress and offer to bless you. Ask for something to enhance your comfort.”
He doesn’t even know what facility he needs, after thinking for a while l understand what you are saying My house has no doors.
So he could not sleep well in the winter, give him a good door and a good bed to sleep in, and that was enough.
Alas the angel regretted that he did not know how to cut this wood and asked, “Is this enough?”
“If only this was the case I would close the door and sleep peacefully.”
She smiled and raised her hands towards the sky that I would give you the door and the bed as you wish.
The next moment there was a beautiful door and a soft bed with a pillow and rug.
The wood cutter sang that he was comfortable lying on the bed.
Even then, the angel was under the impression that angel had not done what was necessary to help the wood cutter. “I have a third boon for you. Ask for this item.”
The woodcutter thought for a long time.
Then he understood what he needed.
“There is no one here to wash my clothes and cook for me.” So he asked “why you should not be my maid.”
The angel was scared that he would call us maids who came to give the boon.
Immediately the wood cutter asked “Can you give me what I asked for.”
The situation was such that the angel had to become a maid in the woodcutter’s house.
Since, then the angel has had to endure all the hardships of that woodcutter.
If we do not know what we want, we will not be able to progress even if the angel comes and blesses us.
Even if the angels come to the aid of fools like that, they will make themselves evil and enslave the angels.
This is a German children’s story.
Angels are equal to angels no matter who comes to help whether they really exist or not.
Just like this those who are our servants today were once angels. Only we can understand that we have made them employees.
We need to plan what our life needs and how to achieve it. If we keep trying to achieve what we think and develop our skills, we can achieve anything even if the angel from heaven does not help us.
