Cow And the Tiger | Tiger Story For Kids
Once upon a time there was a cow in a village. The cow was very friendly and very helpful to everyone. It was so happy in obeying the words of its owner. One day the cow went to the forest and was eating grass.
There a tiger saw this Cow and was ready to attack her. The cow noticed that the tiger was coming to attack her and very quietly left the fear and started talking to the tiger.
“Tiger! I have a baby calf. It was born just two weeks ago. It does not even know how to eat grass. He can not drink milk if I do not go back. So if you give me permission I will go and milk him and come back here. Then you can eat me.”
The tiger laughed out loud at what the cow said and it replied, “You are lying to escape from me. Do you think that I am stupid?”. Said the ferocious tiger.
The cow begged the tiger, “No, no, I did not lie. I can die rather than lying. Everyone should die one day. I will definitely be prey for your hunger today. Please let me go once I will give milk to my baby and come back soon. This is my last wish.”
The tiger thought for a while and wanted to know how true all the wild animals are to him. So the tiger allowed the cow to give milk to her calf.
Immediately the cow went to her village and gave milk to her calf and said to it “My baby calf! You want to be good and should help everyone and you should never lie to anyone. You have to make a good name for yourself.”
Then she went back to the forest to save her words and stood in front of the tiger. The only surprise for the tiger was seeing the cow back. At that time the tiger thought that this cow values its words more than its life.
Thought it would be very wrong to harm this cow. “You have proven your honesty. You go on happily and live with your baby calf. I will not do any harm to you anymore.” Immediately the cow went to her village and lived happily with her calf.
The justice with this story is that if you are truthful and honest you can go on to a happier and better life.
